PARISH BULLETIN |
Dear Parish Family, Thank you to all who made our Easter so very special: Mr. Pat Kelly who brought all things together throughout Lent and Easter; Deacon Duffey and to Donna McGuigan for leading the RCIA program which prepared those who received the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at the Vigil Service; to all of you who through your contributions of flowers, time and money helped this Easter. On Holy Thursday, we used our beautiful new processional cross for the first time. It has been given to us in memory of the parents of Richard Seidl and of the deceased parents of all parishioners. It was made by Adam Kocklin Designs in Connecticut with design help from Pat Kelly. I hope it will remind all of us that the Christ who died on the cross has risen to New Life. The Archdiocese has again thanked us for our generosity to the CAMPAIGN FOR CATHOLIC EDUCATION. Of the $216,000 contributed or pledged, over $100,000 has already been contributed. For those who pledge to give over a period of time, please call the Parish Office if you have not received a reminder envelope from the Archdiocese. Thank you. Sincerely, |
As we meditated on Todays Gospel reading, these thoughts came to us: Peter and the other Apostles (except for John) had deserted Jesus in His darkest hour. In fear, they hid themselves behind locked doors. Jesus, in His Mercy, forgave them. He came to them, giving them Gods own peace...harmony and oneness with God and with one another. When Jesus says to Thomas: "Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed" - He is speaking of us and to us, in this place, at this time. Jesus is asking us to come to Him with great trust...immersing ourselves in His Mercy and His Love. He wants us to live in His peace. Within His Apostles and within us, He enkindles a new life-a life of love and mercy toward our sisters and brothers in need. Jesus desires to become one with each of us in His Sacrament of Love-the Holy Eucharist. We pray that we may open our hearts to Jesus love and reflect the compassionate heart of Jesus in all we think and feel, say and do. Great is the mercy Jesus has for us. All He asks is that we trust in His endless mercy for this is His Day of Mercy. Gene & Anna May |

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION |
The most challenging and important task for us is our spiritual development. We are drawn to a quiet, receptive place where we can be aware of Jesus communication to us as Beloved Friend. In the peace of His presence, a deep happiness sets in-even when life is hard. To experience this, come to Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, following the 8:30 a.m. Mass on Saturday, May 6th, closing with Benediction at 10:00 a.m. |
SPIRITUAL BOUQUET FOR MOTHER'S DAY |
As a Spiritual Gift to your mother, you will find cards in the vestibule of the Church, to have her remembered in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered at St. Roberts, in observance of Mothers Day, May 14th. |
