PARISH BULLETIN |
Dear Parishioners: On behalf of the Priests, the Deacon, the Sisters of the Presentation, and the staff of St. Roberts, I wish you and your loved ones a blessed and happy Christmas. God has blessed our Parish for over forty years. The blessings have come in a very special way from the families and individuals who have worshipped here and have given of their time, talent and treasure to make this Parish very special. In a recent study of the Parish, the overall consensus was that we are a community that is welcoming, active and committed. After ten years as your Pastor, I totally agree. The central focus of our Parish is the Liturgy of the Mass. I pray that every family will participate every Sunday in this remembrance of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. As a Parish, we live out the Mass by a commitment to Catholic education in our Parish school and our Religious Education program. Over 800 young people are learning how to be faithful to their Baptismal promises to love God and love neighbor. Mass is not complete unless we go forth and "do good". St. Roberts is outstanding in its commitment to the needy of our world and our community. Let us pray that this commitment might continue. St. Roberts is truly a Catholic family. However, as with any living organism, we must grow and deepen our Faith. In the coming few months, we will face crucial decisions in regard to the present and future needs of our Parish. I ask all parishioners to please pray that we make the right decision in regard to our proposed building project. We also need to find more ways to reach out to teenagers, to young adults, and to add to our adult education programs. This Christmas weekend I welcome all who are visiting our Parish for the first time and those from our community who join us on special Feast days. May the peace of Jesus be with you and your family. Please join us again. Sincerely, |
