Dear Parishioners,

Thank you to all who made Christmas so special here at St. Robert’s - from those who decorated the Church to the children who served at the altar. To one and all, THANK YOU.

Thank you for your generosity in the Christmas collection. Your offering is a true sign of your gratitude to God. Thank you also for your generosity to the needy of our area. Again, your love knows no limits.

Thank you to all who sent Christmas cards and gifts to the priests of your parish. We are grateful for your love and hope that we can keep our weight within reasonable limits.

Our prayer for you is that God may grant you his grace, all his blessings and keep you safe in the New Year. May He grant you unwavering faith, constant hope and love that endures forever.

Sincerely,

Fr. Ring

RESOLUTIONS CONCERNING MYSELF

I will be joyful, that life may give me wings.
I will be courageous, that there shall be no binding fears.
I will be balanced, that neither work nor play nor rest nor worship shall lose its proper share.
I will be self-reliant, that thoughts of failure shall not hold me back.
I will be good-tempered, that annoyance shall not irritate.
I will be patient, that discouragement shall not seem final.
I will be persistent, that the will may carry through to completion.
I will be prepared, that emergency shall not find me in confusion.

SEEK THE LORD

The Epiphany reminds us that the true Christian may spend a lifetime searching for Jesus and in the end will find a humble, gentle Savior. He can be found among the poor and the oppressed and not in the palaces of kings. Like the Magi, we must leave the security of the good life and look for Jesus among the poor and broken of the human race.

AS A PARISH COMMUNITY

We welcome into the family of God, Conor Folan, who was baptized in Christ.

We pray for the ill: Bernice Summers, mother of Tim Summers, Koret Koelman, Terry McLeod, Helen Miller, Cyndy Smerdel, Adela Florez, Ana Cosgaya, Tony Coogan, Bill Wilson, Peter Capodonicco, Rosemary McHale, Arthur Candia, and Margarita Velez .

We pray for the repose of the souls of Dennis Travins and Kenneth Brink, father of Jan Epting, and offer our sympathy to their families.
