PARISH BULLETIN |
Dear Parishioners, During this past week, a committee from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges spent three days at our Parish school studying the School Report that had been drawn up over the past year, observing classes and interviewing administration, teachers, staff and students. We are hoping that the Association will grant us accreditation for the next five years. I want to thank Mrs. Bordin, the Principal, the faculty, staff, School Board and all others who spent so much time and effort preparing the Report and preparing for this week. You have truly shown your dedication to Catholic education and to St. Roberts Parish. Thank you on behalf of all the children who receive an education at our school. Thank you to Mike Salvato and all the men of the Parish who worked so hard to make the annual Crab Dinner such a great success. Over two hundred and fifty people enjoyed a wonderful meal and a night of friendship and fun. Once again, I am impressed by the great sense of community that exists in St. Roberts Parish. Profits from the dinner will help with the sports program of the school and the maintenance of our school building which is used not just for our Parish school but also for our Religious Education program. I hope you have set aside the week of February 22nd for the Parish Mission to be given by Father Allender, S.J. Father is a wonderful preacher and I am sure you will benefit from this wonderful opportunity to grow in your spiritual life. Remember the Annual Appeal of the Archdiocese. Without your help, many programs cannot continue. A special need, and responsibility for all of us, is to take care of the retired priests of our Archdiocese. These men have given long years of service to all of us. We need to help them now. Be generous with what God has given you. Sincerely, |
