PARISH BULLETIN |
Good Morning! I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of the parish who make youth ministry happen and up date you on the activities of the teens. Looking back over the last several months, it amazes me what we have accomplished. The Teen Club has made lunches for the county AIDS clinic, provided toiletry bags and dinners for the Catholic worker of San Bruno for their shelter at St. Brunos. These are on going projects. We have worked at local soup kitchens and assisted Peninsula Habitat for Humanity. This past summer we went to Disneyland and at the end of the month are going on our annual snow trip. Bobs Club has adopted the children of the Catholic Charities Food Service Program, who are infected or effected by AIDS. We have collected food and toiletry items and have made holiday greeting cards for our adopted children. Bobs Club and Teen Club jointly delivered groceries to shut-ins for the Samaritan House. Bobs Club has been very social, going to dances and will hold their annual Great America Day in June. In working with the youth of the parish, many joys are experienced. The highlight of my involvement is our Passion Play. It is pure joy to see the teens give something back. I cordially invite you to come and celebrate with the youth at their presentation of our annual Passion Play on Good Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the church. You will be moved by the spirit of the teens. I wish to thank those who help with our youth ministry. First, my wife Lisa, who is always giving. To Sandy Murtagh, our Teen Club director and to those who help: Diana Landin, Lorraine Ballas, Kevin Carey and Tami Tomasello, who has been involved with Bobs Club for the last four years. Thanks to Fr. Ring for his support, budget and the latitudes to the program; Pat Bordin with her support to Bobs Club; to the parents of the youth and the congregation for driving, supplying, chaperoning and caring about the teens. And last but not least, to the youth, who chose to get involved and are an important part of St. Roberts parish. Thank you all. Joyfully, Ben Baldonado |

MASS MUSINGS |
"The Prayers of the Faithful" After we profess our faith during Mass, we offer prayers for the Church and the world. We are standing before God the Father "through [Christ], with Him, and in Him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit." This is Jesus Christ praying for the life of the world. (Were talkin some mighty powerful prayer!) We must not forget what Jesus says in the Gospel today just before he raises Lazarus from the dead: "Father, I thank you for having heard me. I know that you always hear me." Our prayers are always heard. Let us always pray them with great faith and confidence. >- Pat Kelly |

As a Parish Community, We Pray For all of us and for all those preparing for the Easter Sacraments, that we may renew and profess our Baptismal vows with conviction and renewed zeal. |
LENTEN PENANCE SERVICE |
Our failings and sinfulness keep us from knowing and loving God, our Father, and affect our relationship with family, neighbor and co-worker. As Catholics, we find forgiveness through the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession). We need only to be sorry for our sins and openly admit our failings to the priest. Through him, we receive the Fathers pardon and peace. We are once again united to our God and to one another. Please plan to attend one of our Lenten Reconciliation Services, either on Saturday, March 27th, at 3:00 P.M. or Monday, March 29th, at 7:30 p.m. All you need do is come... God will do the rest! |
STATIONS OF THE CROSS |
Our final Stations and Soup Supper will take place this Friday, March 26th, at 6:00 p.m. A priest will be available for confession. This weeks soup supper, following Stations, will be hosted in Hennessy Hall by the Mens Club, InBetweeners and RENEW. Please put what you would have spent on your Friday dinner in the donation baskets. Our St. Vincent de Paul Society will use your gift to help members of our Parish family who are in need. |
