CAREGIVERS' SUPPORT

Sisters Patricia and Sheral offer Saturday gatherings quarterly for those caring for an elderly or infirm spouse, family member or neighbor. The next gathering is October 6 from 8:30 am to 1 pm in the Convent Chapel. Please contact either of them for information.

FILIPINO-AMERICAN GROUP

The Fil-Am Group is an association of Filipinos and Filipino-American parishioners and their friends that meets once a month for social and cultural fellowship.

The Group has as it objectives:

1) to get together in the unity of Christ to preserve and share the culture, tradition, and heritage of the Filipino people
 
2) to foster fellowship and understanding among its members and friends
 
3) to work for the religious involvement and concerns of the Filipino and Fil-Am parishioners of St. Robert's Parish.

Meets 2nd Thursday of each month - 7:30pm at Hennessy Hall

GROWNUPS

St. Robert's Grownups is a group of parishioners who are mostly over the age of fifty. A steering committee of twenty-one members meets once a month to act as the leaders, planning all the events for each calendar year. There are two general membership meetings a year which include a guest speaker, social activities that include overnight trips, excursions and Communion brunches. The Grownups also assist in the parish picnic and festival and hold a Christmas dinner party to raise funds for the poor. Contributions are made to St. Robert's for special needs that arise in the parish.

IN-BETWEENERS

A parish organization open to all members of St. Roberts Parish. Our goals include rekindling old friendships and making new ones. Our membership consist of adults of any age, married, single, widowed, male or female. The In-Betweeners is a group of adults that considers themselves between those of the Men's Club/Women's Guild and the Grownups. We will have semi-monthly meetings on Friday Nights. We are planning activities in and around the Bay Area. One of the major events sponsored is the New Years Eve Dinner-Dance.

LEGION OF MARY

A group of dedicated parishioners, under the example and patronage of Mary, who undertake parish visitation and a special ministry of prayer on behalf of the parish.

Legion of Mary - meets Tuesday evenings, 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the Library

MEN'S CLUB

Open to all men of the parish and sponsoring many and varied social and service activities for the entire parish generating financial support for our parish school and athletic programs. Some of the major events sponsored are the Classic Car Show & Sock Hop in September, Monte Carlo Night in October, Crab Cioppino Dinner in December and Marinated Crab Dinner in February the annual Golf Tournament in April. Members will enjoy fellowship of each other while discussing parish goals and activities at monthly meeting which include dinner and drinks along with raffle prize drawings.

SCRIPTURE SHARING

Groups meet, some evenings and some mornings, to study the Scriptures. Different formats and different resources are used.

T.I.P.P.'s

TIPPS stands for Toddlers, Infants, Preschoolers Parents Social. We have our own website at: http://tipps.kimoto.us/ . We have a monthly gathering for a social where the parents and kidds can meet together.

WOMEN'S GUILD

Open to all women of the parish, this organization sponsors numerous and varied social and service activities for the entire parish generating financial support for our parish school. The Guild sponsors the annual Dinner Dance/Auction among other functions.

YOUTH MINISTRY

TEEN CLUB is open to all 9th through 12th grade (High School) parish students. The group gathers monthly to socialize, build community, and keep people acquainted with their classmates and the parish. Twice a month meals are prepared for AIDS patients and for the homeless. The TEEN CLUB works with an adult Core team to plan the Youth Mass and Social. Youth Masses are held the first and third Sunday of the month and are followed by a Social.
