Dear Parishioners: Recently, this year’s RCIA class attended a one day retreat at Mercy Center. One of the activities was to prepare a life-line picture. Participants recalled important events, people and dates. They were then encouraged to share their stories with the group. One of the reasons for this activity is to highlight the times when we felt God’s presence in our life. Through the experience, we realized that God was present in the most joyful times as well as the down times. Usually it was through another person that we felt God’s love and forgiving compassion. On the next rainy day this might be an interesting experience for parents to share with their children. After preparing a life-line, break out the photo albums and see the pictures of those important people. There’s potential here for a wonderful family experience.
