PARISH BULLETIN |
Dear Parishioners, The number of people attending Easter Mass was the highest I have seen at St. Roberts since I became Pastor in 1990. Their participation in the Mass and the enthusiasm after each Mass showed the vibrancy of our Parish. We have had our low points in the past but they have been overcome because of the strong Faith of our parishioners. I want to give special thanks to Pat Vallez-Kelly and all who helped make the Liturgies of Holy Week and Easter so meaningful to all of us. I give a special welcome to three people who were baptized on Holy Saturday night, to five who were received into the Church and to three who received the Eucharist for the first time and the Sacrament of Confirmation. Donna McGuigan and the RCIA Team deserve the thanks of all of us for leading them in the journey of Faith. Your generosity at Easter was, as always, a sign of your dedication to God. From the Good Friday collection, we were able to send $250.00 to the Church in the Holy Land and give $525.00 to the St. Vincent de Paul Society and $525.00 to the Catholic Worker House in San Bruno. The Easter collection itself was $28,517.46. This will help us maintain the high quality of Parish programs in the months ahead.During the Lenten Season, your sacrifices and contributions helped many people. The St. Patricks Dinner Dance, sponsored by the In-Betweeners, raised $5,354.00 for the retirement fund of the Presentation Sisters. Your donation of $696.39 at the Lenten Suppers aided our St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Catholic Worker House in Redwood City, which gives shelter to teenagers in need. The St. Vincent de Paul collection on Palm Sunday was $3,959.80. One of the highest ever. My dream has always been that we give ten percent (a tithe) of our income to the needy. Between our second collections and our special fund raisers we are able to do it. Thank you. Father Ring |

Thanks and Praise Our Easter celebration has begun! 50 days of the Easter Season! We would not have so many great celebrations and liturgies without the generous service of many parishioners. I would need a page and a half of the bulletin to thank everyone by name who ministered throughout our Triduum. But there were several people who put in a considerable amount of extra time and energy to make things right. If you saw or heard something of the holy and beautiful during our Holy Week and Easter liturgies, give thanks to God and to these ministers:
