PARISH BULLETIN |
Dear Parishioners, "Let us give thanks to the Lord...It is right to give Him thanks and praise". Familiar words uttered in faith. Whenever we gather at the Liturgy, it is to give thanks. We celebrate the Eucharist - gathered by the Holy Spirit we give thanks and glory to the Father, in - and - through Jesus Christ our Lord and King. We are sent forth to be a Eucharistic people. We are commissioned to offer our God thanks in the service we render to one another - the words and deeds of justice and peace which give God praise. This Thursday, November 28th, we celebrate a National Day of Thanksgiving - a day of gratitude for the blessings we often take for granted. It is a day of food and drink, of family and friends, a day of special memories - a day of thanks. In the comings and goings - the preparations - the busy-ness of this day, let us not forget to lift up our hearts to the Lord. For it is right to give God our thanks and praise! Father Tom |
